Home sweet home.

We are finally settling into our sweet home and it FEELS SO GOOD! As far as decor goes, I wanted a homey, yet clean look.  I was a bit tired of the "traditional" feel of my last home and knew I wanted to jazz this one up a little.  In staying true to what I find comfortable in a home, I added a few surprise elements that gave the space the edge I was going for, without being too trendy. For example, I added a touch of Farrow and Ball "Ocelot" wallpaper behind my bookshelf to add texture, art, and color. I purchased this via Boxwood Interiors, with the help of sweet Lauren Friedrichs. in Houston, Texas. In order to transform this room, painting the walls was must. The colors chosen were Farrow and Ball's Skimming Stone and for the bookshelf, Charleston Gray. The color is soothing and fashionable.
I also believe in adding a touch of PINK to every room, pink adds color without being so  IN YO FACE!!  My next goal for this room is to hang the television and add greenery.  A little GREEN never hurt NOBODY!

The dining room- is one of my favorite rooms in my home! The painting by Nicole Cohen truly makes me happy.  The colors are fun, young, and fresh.  It allows me to pull different colors around the room while accessorizing.  The table is a neutral staple from Restoration Hardware which gives me a blank canvas to work with. The chandelier-  I wanted to reflect the same feel as the painting...a young, fresh and more modern feel, so a ghost chandelier seemed to have all the answers.
This room and my living are still in the works so bare with me through the progression. More to come!
